EFM Health Clubs 2011 Franchisee of the Year and Annual Award winners announced:
EFM Health clubs have awarded its Franchise of the Year and Annual Award winners for 2011.
The presentations took place at the EFM Health Clubs National Conference held at the Stamford Grand, Adelaide.
According to EFM Managing Director Matthew Lindblom, the EFM Franchisee of the Year awards are based on a combination of factors including annual turnover growth, overall turnover, participation in group events, contribution to the EFM group and contirbution to the Franchise's local community.
“The award system certainly rewards turnover and growth, but more importantly it places equal weighting on a Franchisee’s contribution to assisting fellow Franchisees to achieve success adn making a significant positive impact on the health and fitness of local community”.
EFM 2011 Award Winners:
National Franchisee of the Year - Ty Menzies, EFM Frankston (VIC): Ty has been a consistent performer in EFM since starting his Franchise in 2007. Ty's efforts within the fitness industry were recognised by being named a finalist in the Victorian Exercise Professional of the Year awards in 2010. Ty is a highly respected member of the EFM group, and is regularly sought out by his fellow Franchisees for advice. Ty is also a previous State Franchise of the Year Award winner.
South Australian Franchisee of the Year - Chris French, EFM North Adelaide (SA): Chris has been a member of the EFM group since 2004 and has been a Franchise of the Year finalist or State Winner on no less than 4 occasions! Chris is a multi-club operator, and has held ownership in three individual Franchises, demonstrating a can-do attitude and member-focussed approach to running his health club.
Eastern State Franchisee of the Year - Patsy Askew, EFM Herston (QLD): Patsy is the first State Franchise of the Year Award recipient that has held a Franchise for less than 18 months. In fact, Patsy has been with the EFM group for only 6 months, having taken over the reins of EFM Herson in early 2011. Patsy has made such a dramatic positive impact in her Franchise that she could not be overlooked for the award, usually taken out by much more 'seasoned' Franchisees. Patsy has done an outstanding job of delivering Personal Fitness Coaching programs that are fun and enjoyable for members of Queensland Health and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital staff as part of their on-site staff health and fitness program.
